Cthulhu in Rlyeh by Mushstone Cthulhu in Rlyeh by Mushstone
I read H.P.Lovecraft's horror novels recently and it was brilliant. His description of scene make me chill down.

I draw this after reading [The Call Of Cthulhu], imagine Cthulhu walking around his city Rlyeh.

This is one of the most original Cthulhu designs I've ever seen, very impressive in its alien-ness. The entire drawing is very atmospheric, with the miasma clouding the cyclopean buildings ... Lovecraft would approve, I think ...

I always have wondered how a person would depict the "unfathomable cyclopean architecture".

Are you familiar with "At the Mountains of Madness"?

Oh,"At the Mountains of Madness" is one of my favorite H.P.Lovecraft's novel. But it is so hard to paint Lovecraft's architecture. This is my result.
